We land in Tel-Aviv, visit Joppa and on to our hotel that rests outside the ancient city Caesarea.
Joppa is the ancient city. Tel Aviv was established in the 17th century. It is a modern marvel. It is the NYC of Israel but not the capitol. To the Jewish People this is Jerusalem.
Tel Aviv (The Mound of Aviv) was founded in 1909 by Jews. It has 439,000 people and receives 2.5 million visitors each year. It is the financial and technology hub of the nation.
This is the place Jonah fled to sail from Gods call to Tarshish (Jonah 1:3). This is also the city where Peter is summoned by the Centurion Cornelius to Caesarea (We visit day three). God shows peter a vision of unclean animals to prepare him to minister to a gentile in a gentile city (Acts 10).
The Greek Myth of Percius from "Clash of the Titians" took place off the coast of Joppa. The Philistines were Greeks that migrated to Israel. There are many reasons that explain this. One are the bronze shin guards or "Greaves" Goliath wore for armor. They are only used by Greeks.
The rock attributed to the Greek myth of Percius where the princess Andromeda was chained and Precious reduced her from the Kraken with the head of Medusa

In Acts 10:9-23 Peter goes to the roof of a home to pray at the "sixth" hour (Noon time). There God gives Peter a vision of unclean animals and a request to eat them. God was using this to prepare Peter to cross the line of ministering to "unclean" people, the Gentiles. Specifically Cornelius at Caesarea.
Bronze Shin Guards are only seen in the Greek culture. This supports the Greek origin of the Philistines.
